Chapter Three: Genesis

Featured Painting

Genesis

A painting that became part of a much bigger story. Sometimes a painting becomes more than art—it becomes part of God's purpose.

The Story

Some paintings begin with an idea.

Others begin with a photograph.

But every now and then, a painting begins with something much deeper... a whisper from God.

Genesis was one of those paintings.

When I picked up my brush, I wasn't trying to create something for a gallery or even something to sell. I simply wanted to paint what I felt in my heart. As the painting came to life, I realized it represented far more than color on canvas. It reminded me of the beauty of beginnings, of creation itself, and of the God who speaks life into things that have never existed before.

I never imagined where this painting's journey would lead.

Genesis found a new home, and the proceeds from its sale were given to our church building fund. What began as an act of creativity became an opportunity to give back to God's work. I have always believed that our gifts are meant to be shared, and this painting became a beautiful reminder that sometimes the greatest purpose of our talents isn't what we keep—it's what we're able to give away.

Looking back now, I realize Genesis wasn't just the name of a painting.

It was the beginning of understanding that every brushstroke could become part of a much bigger story.

Sometimes God paints with people.

This is the story behind Genesis.

The Music Behind the Story

Genesis doesn't point to one specific song. Instead, it reflects the foundation behind every painting and every song I create. Whether I'm holding a paintbrush or writing lyrics, I believe every creative work begins with inspiration, faith, and the willingness to follow where God leads.

Every painting tells a story.

Every song carries a heartbeat.

Both begin with the Creator.

Inside the Studio

When I painted Genesis, I had no idea where it would end up or whose lives it might touch. Watching it help support our church building fund reminded me that a finished painting can continue serving long after the final brushstroke has dried. Sometimes God has a purpose for our work long before we ever recognize it.

Life Reflections

Every beginning carries possibilities we cannot yet see. We often focus on creating something beautiful, while God is already preparing the purpose behind it. Genesis taught me that our greatest gifts are often measured not by what we keep, but by what we're willing to give.

Continue the Journey

Thank you for spending a little time in my world.

I hope you'll continue the journey as we explore more paintings, the stories behind them, the music they inspire, and the memories that connect them all.

One story... Told through Paint and Song.
