Chapter One: Every Mermaid Begins with a Dream
She'ree of the Sea
Every painting has a story. Every song has a heartbeat. Every memory deserves to be shared.
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a mermaid.
There was something magical about the water. Whether I was playing along the shoreline, exploring the bayous of Louisiana, or imagining hidden treasures beneath the waves, I always believed there was another world just beyond what I could see.
Of course, I eventually grew up.
I learned that dreams don't always come true exactly the way we imagine.
But sometimes they become something even better.
Years later, I found myself standing in front of a blank canvas with paintbrush in hand. Instead of searching the ocean for treasure, I discovered I could create it.
Layer by layer, color by color, texture by texture, a mermaid began to emerge.
She wasn't just a character from childhood.
She became a reminder that our earliest dreams never really leave us. They simply wait for the right season of life to reveal themselves in a different way.
Today that dream lives on through one of my favorite paintings, She'REE of the Sea, and through my original song, I Wanna Be a Mermaid.
Together they remind me that imagination has no expiration date.
Sometimes the dreams we carry as children become the stories we spend the rest of our lives telling.

Inside the Studio:
When I began this painting, I wasn't simply painting a mermaid. I was painting a dream that had stayed with me since childhood.
Every layer of texture, every brushstroke, and every touch of gold became part of a story that had been waiting to be told. As the painting came to life, I realized that some dreams don't disappear with age—they simply find a different canvas.
Creating She'ree of the Sea reminded me that imagination is one of God's greatest gifts. We are never too old to dream, create, or become the person we were always meant to be.
Life Reflections
As children, we believe almost anything is possible.
Somewhere along the way, responsibilities, disappointments, and the opinions of others have a way of convincing us to set those dreams aside. Yet the dreams that truly belong to us rarely disappear. They simply wait... quietly, patiently... until we're willing to believe in them again.
Perhaps your dream isn't to become a mermaid.
Perhaps it's to paint, write a book, learn an instrument, start a business, travel somewhere you've always imagined, or simply become the person you were created to be.
Whatever your dream may be, don't be afraid to begin.
You may discover that the greatest treasures in life were never hidden beneath the sea at all—they were waiting within you.
Continue the Journey
Thank you for spending a little time in my world.
This is only the beginning.
Every painting has a story waiting to be told. Every song carries a memory. Every chapter in The SHE'REE Journal is another step through the people, places, faith, laughter, and life experiences that have shaped both my art and my music.
I hope these stories encourage you to remember your own journey, celebrate the people who have touched your life, and never stop creating new memories.
Until next time...
Keep dreaming.
Keep creating.
Keep telling your story.
